What happens if I don’t have my own board?

We have a number of basic boards available for hire throughout the event. Pre booking is essential as numbers are limited.

Can I enter more than one category?
Competitors can enter more than one category – timings will be staggered to allow for this.
Can I train at the site before racing?
WATSSUP Watsons Bay Stand Up Paddling run training throughout the week. Please see the Training page for more information.
I haven’t got a dog can I still enter?
There are plenty of categories during the event, which don’t require a furry friend. Please see Race Categories for more information.
Dog’s aren’t allowed in the park or beach –what about the rangers?
We have special event permission from Council to permit dogs on the beach for the duration of the event, 7:30am – 11:30am. Dogs must be on a leash and supervised at all times. Please bring doggie bags and pick up after your pooches.

Can I register on the day of the race?
Online entries will be available right up until 25th January 2019. Late entries will be available on race day; however there will be an additional $10 per entry on each race.
Will there be prize money?
Prize money is allocated for some of the races. Total prize purse to be determined by number of entrants. Value stated is minimum allocation. But there will be prizes up for grabs for each race!
How many must enter a division in order for the race to run?
Minimum requirements are 5 participants – in the event the number is not achieved divisions may be cancelled or placed under one category. Decision is at discretion of Contest Organiser and Race Director; paddlers will be notified and given options in the unlikely event of this happening.
